Making A Difference #8 

“One day Ruth’s mother-in-law Naomi said to her, ‘My daughter, I must find a home for you, where you will be well provided for.’” — Ruth 3:1

Ruth found contentment in her life with Naomi, grateful for the opportunity to glean in the fields. Yet, Naomi saw beyond their present circumstances and yearned for something greater for Ruth. Have you ever been in a position to uplift someone and open the door to better opportunities? Reflect on how you navigated that moment. Naomi was driven by a profound desire to enhance Ruth’s life, declaring, “My daughter, I must find a home for you, where you will be well provided for.”

It is a beautiful thing to do good for others and make a lasting difference in their lives. As Galatians 6:10 reminds us, “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” Remember that sometimes, the greatest gift we can offer is the belief that someone else deserves more.
