“He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.” — Proverbs 2:7–8
Those who walk in the fear of the Lord and live a life of integrity can count on God to be both their provider and protector. Yet, as believers, we sometimes allow our talk to contradict our walk, which ultimately disempowers our private cries through our public conduct. To bridge this gap, we desperately need God’s wisdom. It is His wisdom that rescues us from the ways of the wicked, preserves our righteousness, and keeps our steps secure in a chaotic world.
Because victorious Christian living is directly tied to virtuous living, God generously provides us with this wisdom so we can live according to His calling. As Charles Ryrie beautifully wrote, "The wisdom of God tells us that God will bring about the best possible results, by the best possible means, for the most possible people, for the longest possible time." When we choose to fear God and follow His lead, we position ourselves to see Him do exceedingly, abundantly more than we could ever ask or imagine.
Blessings!
