Watch Out 1

“I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.” Romans‬ ‭16‬:‭17‬ ‭

In Romans 16:17, the Apostle Paul issues a call to spiritual vigilance, warning us as believers to actively guard the unity and integrity of the local church. Sad as it is, some individuals find  delight in causing friction, sowing discord, and carving out factions within the body of Christ. They thrive on conflict, destabilizing communities by placing stumbling blocks in the path of believers. True discernment requires us to recognize these destructive patterns early and refuse to entertain those who prioritize their own agendas over the peace of God's church.

To withstand these subtle attacks, the believer  must remain unshakeable in their commitment to pure gospel truth. Misleading influences rarely start with outright denial; instead, they slowly derail others by skewing biblical teaching or acting in ways that make the message of Christ look hypocritical, petty, or bitter to the outside world. Staying rooted in sound doctrine and living out a quiet, Christlike character ensures that we preserve the purity of our faith and present an unblemished testimony to a watching world.

Let’s walk together in this watch out series….
